『Windows in the Sky』のようにパーソナルなアルバムで最も複雑なのは、何としてでも自分たちがすることへの自意識を避けることだ。それは、ほぼ不可能なんだけど、それでも、僕らが着せた言葉と音を超えて、楽曲を成長させたければ、必要不可欠なことだと思う。だって、僕らが避けたり、理解しようとする以上に、偉大な感情を表現する方法を見つけようとしているから。

前にも言ったかもしれないけど、他人の認識に合わせたりするくらいなら、自分に正直になる方を選ぶ。だから「The Love That Moves (The End Is Beginning)」は、自分や他人を説得するために良くデザインされたマントラを映し出しているのではなく、自分の中にある祈りなんだ。この旅路がどんなものであるかを告白する方法。けれど、それ以上に、これまでの経験を通して出来上がった自分を表現している。

嘆きは暗闇を打ち負かし、輝かせる力があるだろうか？追悼は、終わりを受け入れることで、再び全てを始められるということだろうか？感情の解放は、そもそも自分のものではなかったものを失う恐れから解き放たれるということだろうか？そかもしれないし、そうじゃないかもしれない。でも、一つ確かなことは、愛が心を動かし、許し、癒すということ…霞んだ朝の光や煌びやかな偽りを超えて。
